The 2021 Easter Egg design is inspired by the magnificent stained-glass window of The Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace, as erected in 2002 to mark the Golden Jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II.
Depicting a magnificent tree, festooned with plaques displaying the many nations affiliated with the Queen, and beside it four disciples, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, this interweaving of branches on a sunny yellow background is the embodiment of new birth and life, as the Christian festival denotes.
